MINISTRIES OF RCF

Discipleship

Is becoming followers of Jesus. We believe that everyone needs the right Biblical foundations in order to live a vibrant Christian life. We also want to afford each Christian a chance to develop into the purpose that God has for them. We offer the following discipleship thrusts:

The three basic discipleship studies.

The Starter Study - a one on one Bible study that helps someone obtain a good understanding of the core beliefs of the Christian faith. It's a study straight out of the Bible.

The Commitment Study - once we learn the basic truths, we need to see how we fit in and what God expects of us as a victory saint. This one on one Bible study draws the picture of participation in the family of faith.

The Covenant Classes - twelve sessions on video and with printed materials that deal with the overall Biblical teachings we embrace at RCF. This study should give the Christian a good understanding of how and why we do what we do as followers of Jesus.

General Discipleship

Sunday Morning Worship - every Christian that is part of RCF is encouraged regularly to commit to the 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning worship service. This is a time when the entire church comes together to worship and celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ and to hear public teaching and preaching and to pray for and minister to others who are present.

Home Groups - everyone is encouraged to become committed to a home group. Home groups meet weekly in a home with an emphasis on prayer, Bible study, friendship, encouragement, sharing lives, fellowship and a basic spiritual family development.

Worship Team - musicians, singers, and technical personnel that join together to lay down their talents together at the feet of Jesus in an effort to lead the congregation into a deeper worship experience. This is a place of service and sacrifice, not of self-honor or personal gratification.

Dance Team - individuals committed to expressing worship to Jesus and celebrating the new life in Christ, along with the worship team, through Biblical dance and movement. The dance team is intended to worship the Lord and help lead others into deeper worship. The dance team is not entertainment.

Prayer meeting - Each Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. people gather at the church for corporate prayer, petition and intercession. This is a special time of communion with the Lord and praying for God's purposes in our day.

Specialized Discipleship:

Young Adult Group - this is a dynamic group of 18-30 year olds that are learning their faith together through Bible studies and actively implementing that faith. The group meets twice per week.

UW Richland -We seek to reach the campus population by introducing them to Jesus and then training them in Biblical truth .

Premarital Training - this is a ten session study for couples planning to marry. The study usually requires at least six months and involves Bible study, listening to tapes and reading books that are relevant to marriage and family life. The couple meets with the pastor on ten separate occasions.
